Erdoğan Once Again Refers to the Protesters as 'Çapulcu'

Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan arrived  in Adana this morning and gave a short speech in front of the people welcoming him.

Erdogan said:

"Do not worry at all. The AKP government is alive and kicking on this patch that we are walking together. As long as my soul is in my body nothing can daunt me. We don't owe anything to anyone except God. We did not discriminate anyone. We served all 76 millions citizens. We are the party of the 76 millions. We love you because we love God. We have been walking on the path that you outlined, and we will keep on walking on the same path.
We do not do what a few of 'çapulcu' (marauders, plunderers, looters) did. They burn things, they demolish. This is the definition of 'çapulcu'. They are so contemptible that they curse the Prime Miniter of this country. You trust in your beliefs. Do not worry about your beliefs if you trust in freedom of opinion. These protests have nothing to do with environmental protection.

95 per cent of demonstrators do not even know what Gezi Park is. They had not been in Gezi Park at all. I was born there. I grew up there."
