Ertuğrul Kürkçü Levels Sharp Criticism at Erdoğan

Kürkçü, who was together with BDP MP Sebahat Tuncel at Gezi Park yesterday night during the fierce clashes, is a veteran of Turkey's 68-generation (spanning from the late 60s to the early 70s) and is the only surviver of the shootout between revolutionary students and the police at Kizildere in the course of an attempt by student leader Mahir Cayan and his comrades to free the imprisoned revolutionaries Deniz Gezmiş, Hüseyin Inan and Yusuf Aslan. This attempt failed and the three were eventually sentenced to death.
