Police attacks protestors at Taksim Square

Thousands of people have gathered in front of Atatürk Cultural Center at Taksim Square early Tuesday evening. Protestors once again took to the streets today to protest the police violence against demonstrators at the square early morning. Many political organizations, parties, NGOs, as well as bar associations, fan groups and students have gathered in Taksim in the evening.
Police attacked the mass without warning, dispersing the crowd and clashing with demonstrators who are responding to the attack.
Thousands of policemen have surrounded the square. Many people were reported wounded as clashes are continuing in some places around the square.
Hundreds of thousands are taking to the streets since early evening to protest the police attack against protestors at Gezi Park and Taksim Square.
