Tens of Thousands of Football/Soccer Supporters Marched to Taksim

On Saturday 8th of June tens of thousands football/soccer supporters of the three big teams from Istanbul (Besiktas, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and also from Trabszonspor, Trabzon located at the Black Sea) marched to Taksim in support of the ongoing protests. They have been at the barricades and in struggle from the very beginning and especially Carsi, the biggest group of supporters from Besiktas, have risen to fame during the protests for their brave and creative activities. The supporters of the three teams have shown a remarkable unity in struggle, for normally they are arch enemies and just a few weeks clashes between supporters of Fenerbahce and Galatasaray ended with one casualty. Yesterday Besiktas supporters started their march at Barbaros square at 19.03 for 1903 is the founding year of Besiktas and Fenerbahce supporters started at 19.07 for 1907 is the founding year of Fenerbahce. In the articled attached a remarkable video shows the march of Besiktas supporters, with Carsi dominating, that is said to have included up to 50 thousand people.
