The family of police chief Mustafa Sarı, who died during the protests in Adana, confuted that he was pushed down from a crossover by demonstrators. Sarı's father stated that they trust the governorship and police department of Adana that declared that Sarı fell by himself. İbrahim Sarı, the father of Mustafa Sarı stated that the family is harassed by the phone calls. He said: "I have nothing to do with Facebook. We trust in what the governorship says. I want people not to call us, we want to mourn. Our prime minister called and offered his condolence. Also [interior minitster] Mr.Güler came to visit us. My son is dead. It is over."
Mustafa Sarı's elder brother Adem Sarı said: "It is an unfounded speculation that protesters pushed him. Mustafa fell by himself. His colleagues witnessed this. We just want to mourn."
Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan has been claiming that protesters killed chief of police Mustafa Sarı and he used this as a provocation against the demonstrations that take place all over Turkey.
